It’s that Showcase time of year again...

Every year graduating acting students put on a showcase for agents and casting directors in the Bute Theatre, Cardiff and the Royal Court, London. They have one week to prepare a monologue or duologue - then two minutes and five seconds to show us what they’ve got.

  • 8 Feb '10 Aneurin Barnard (Acting, 2008) is nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in Spring Awakening at the Novello.
  • 26 Jan '10 Clare Dunne (Acting, 2009) stars in Three Sisters at The Lyric, Hammersmith as the ‘beautiful, fun and full of life’ Irina.
  • 21 Jan '10 Matt Aubrey (Acting, 2009) lands the lead role of Albert in War Horse at the National Theatre.
  • 21 Jan '10 Craig Gazey (Acting, 2005) was awarded the National Television Award for Best Newcomer for his role as Graham Proctor in Coronation Street.
  • 16 Dec '09 Lyndsey Marshal (Acting, 2000) is a 'Leading Light' of theatre by the Sunday Times, alongside Sir Ian McKellan & Sir Derek Jacobi.
  • 25 Nov '09 Catrin Mara (Acting, 2001) wins the Mental Health in the Media Award for her role in Pobol y Cwm.
  • 1 Oct '09 Ryan O'Donnell (Acting, 2006) won the TMA Theatre Award for Best Performance in a Musical.
  • 22 July '09 Mark Sumner (Acting, 2009) wins one of the leading Olivier Bursaries. Previous winners include Michael Sheen and Ewan McGregor.
