Royal Patronage Extended

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama is delighted that
His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales will extend his patronage of
the College for a further five years to February 2015.
The College was bestowed with Royal status by Her Majesty the
Queen when she visited Wales in 2002, an accolade shared with only
four other conservatoires in the United Kingdom.
‘We are thrilled that His Highness, the Prince of Wales, has
continued to confer this honour on the College,’ said College
Principal Hilary Boulding. ‘We have just celebrated the College’s
60th anniversary, reflecting on its transition from its origins in
Cardiff Castle to its current site, now a member of the University
of Glamorgan Group. We look forward in the next year to unveiling
new world class facilities to fulfil our potential as Wales’
National Conservatoire and Drama School.’
