12 Days of Christmas – Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama
celebrate their new partnership with St David's

Royal Welsh College is celebrating the end of its 60th
anniversary year with a new partnership with St David’s, Wales’
biggest shopping experience at the heart of Cardiff’s busy city
centre.
Students will be entertaining shoppers on The Hayes stage,
outside St David’s, with 12 festive performances every Wednesday
and Thursday evening leading up to Christmas. St David’s is one of
the College’s corporate supporters and the events are part of the
Centre’s ‘Christmas on the Hayes’ event.
The students’ performances will include a mixture of music to
suit all tastes, including the Klezmer Kollectiv (a Jewish/Polish
folk group), Jazz Carols, an evening of Musical Theatre, a Brass
Quintet, a Saxophone Choir and more traditional Carol Singers
'Our brands fit together so well and we
look forward to working with St David’s again in the
future.’ said David Jackson, Vice Principal, Enterprise
and Events. ‘It’s a wonderful way for St
David’s to support the arts in the city, nurturing young talent and
the arts in Wales. It also gives us the chance to showcase our
talented students and to build a local audience for the 300 events
that take place at the College each year.’
Steven Madeley,Centre Director, St David’s adds, 'After the
fantastically warm welcome that Cardiff gave us when we opened our
doors, we wanted to try and give back as much as we could to our
local community as a thank you for all their support. We’re
delighted to be supporting the students’ future in this way.’
Performances started on Thursday 12th November and continue
until 23rd December. Limegreen Events will be providing
the technical expertise for the performances.
