National Opera Studio place for Justina
Music Performance student Justina Gringyte has just won a place
at the prestigious National Opera Studio.
The National Opera Studio offers a master course for a small
number of exceptionally talented singers and repetiteurs that they
believe have real prospects of becoming principal artists.
Previous graduates from the Royal Welsh College include
Stephanie Corley (PG Dip Music Performance 2004) who is taking the
title role in The Merry Widow at Opera North this season
and Carthaigh Quill (PG Dip Music Performance 2009), who is in the
full WNO chorus and singing the role of Spoletta in Tosca this
season.
The College is currently taking applications for the new
MA in Opera Performance which starts in
September.
