Hitchcock Blonde: Suspense & Cinematic Fantasy at
Chapter
The spirit of Alfred Hitchcock is alive
and well in this violent, intriguing play, which leaves the audience guessing right
up until the last scene. Blending sexual obsession, suspense and
cinematic fantasy, with as many twist and turns as one of
Hitchcock’s own masterpieces, this darkly funny play can be enjoyed
by film buffs and ‘Hitch’ novices alike.
Director Bruce Guthrie describes Hitchcock Blonde as “a
fascinating exploration of the world of arguably the greatest film
director of all time and the people who idolize him.”
He continues, “Having seen two previous shows at the Royal Welsh
College (Les Liaisons Dangereuses and August: Osage
County), it’s is a great privilege to come here and work with
some of the finest young talent that any drama school in the UK has
to offer.”
The play is on at Chapter Arts Studio from 8-18 December.
