Graduate Mark Wins British Composer Award

Composition graduate Mark Boden has won a British Composer Award.

Mark’s work, Siegfried Stanzas, won the inaugural student competition at the awards.

The piece, written for piano and violin, was performed live at the awards ceremony, which took place at Stationers Hall in London. The whole event was broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and you can Listen Again to the programme until Wednesday 8th December.

Mark graduated from the College in 2008. He is currently studying for a Masters in Composition at the Royal College of Music. His work recently featured on the latest album from fellow RWCMD graduates the Lunar Sax Quartet. Mark is also a tutor with RWCMD’s Junior Music and Access Studies.
