Past Student Joins BBC Radio Drama Company

Past student Susie Riddell is returning to her roots in radio
and joining the prestigious BBC Radio Drama
Company. She started her acting career on BBC’s Radio 4’s The
Archers, playing Kate Aldridge for four years, so she feels she’s
now going back where she belongs.
“I will be working with a mix of young and well
established actors and will have the opportunity to work alongside
some household names as well during my three months with the
company. I start at the end of April and my voice should be heard
fairly soon after that!
This really is a dream come true! I am so grateful to Marilyn Le
Conte (Senior Lecturer in Acting) for all her expert advice and
training during my time at RWCMD and afterwards. She has been
integral to my success in this field and I hope to do her
proud!”
RDC is the BBC's core company of 12 radio drama actors who take
part in many hours of plays, series, dramatisations and readings
that Radio Drama records for Radio 3, Radio 4, the World Service
and BBC 7 each year. Another RWCMD past student, Stuart McLoughlin, rejoined the Company this
year.
