The college awards a number of scholarships (including entrance
scholarships for musicians) worth between £500 and £15,000 per
year. You do not need to apply for a scholarship - the college will
consider the eligibility of all candidates based on their
performance at audition and throughout their programme of
study.

Hardship Bursaries
Bursaries from the college's Hardship Fund are awarded to
students enrolled on programmes of study at RWCMD according to
merit and need. The Hardship Fund is supported by the Friends of
RWCMD. You should talk to your Head of Study about your eligibility
for a hardship bursary.
Scholarship Fund
With the opening of its new facilities in June 2011, the college
announced the launch of a campaign to establish a substantial
endowment fund, which aims to raise three million pounds over the
next two years. This will enable the college to provide
scholarships to ensure that every student offered a place is able
to commence and complete their training now and in the future. For
more information or to support the scholarship fund, contact the
