Catherine Elizabeth Roe-Williams

Catherine Roe-Williams received her musical
education at the Royal Academy of Music and has since then had an
active career as an orchestral pianist, freelance repetiteur and
vocal coach, both internationally and in Wales.
As an orchestral keyboard player, Catherine has played for the Hong
Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and is currently the pianist and
celeste player for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
With thirty years experience as a repetiteur, Catherine has worked
for the Hong Kong Arts Festival, the Icelandic Opera Company,
Buxton Festival Opera, and the Welsh National Opera, with whom she
currently holds a freelance post.
Her activities as a vocal coach have ranged from time at the
Reykjavik Singing School in Iceland, where she was also conductor
of the Reykjavik Male Voice Choir, to acting as choral coach for
the Buxton Festival Opera.
Catherine has been associated with the Royal Welsh College of
Music & Drama for over twenty years, taking up her current
appointment as vocal coach in 1989.
