Gabrielle Painter
Gabrielle Painter has performed throughout Europe, Canada and
the United States as soloist, chamber musician and leader.
Her concerto performances range from Beethoven to Szymanowski,
Prokofiev and Lou Harrison and she has been soloist at venues
including the Royal Albert Hall, Sadlers Wells and in a regular
recital series at the Warehouse.
A passionate chamber musician, Gabrielle has been Guest Artist
at the Banff Centre for the Arts and in numerous concert series
including the Saint Endellion Festival, London Festival of Chamber
Music, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine (NY), and the Mostly
Music Series (Chicago). Gabrielle is the violinist of the Szabo
Piano Trio who have played throughout the UK and Europe - most
recently in Vienna - and broadcast on Lyric FM Radio.
Equally dedicated to teaching, Gabrielle has given masterclasses
at the Royal Academy of Music, Banff Centre, and universities
throughout Canada and the United States.
Gabrielle studied with Diana Cummings
at the Royal Academy of Music, and at the State University of New
York at Stony Brook, where she gained her Doctorate of Musical Arts
Degree. Gabrielle was a scholarship student of, and teaching
assistant to, Mitchell Stern.
