Darragh Morgan

Irish violinist Darragh Morgan graduated from
the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Concerto highlights
include working closely with Arvo Part, performing his Tabula Rasa
in the closing concert of the RTE Living Music Festival, and
over 20 performances with London Musici/Rambert Dance Company.
Darragh has performed at international festivals including
Warsaw Autumn, Wien Modern, Ars Musica Brussels, Maerz Musik
Berlin, Festival d'Automne Paris, Klangspuren Schwaz, Dubrovnik
Summer Festival, Luzern Festival, National Arts Festival South
Africa, BBC Proms Chamber Music, Aldeburgh, Huddersfield
Contemporary Music Festival and Fuse Leeds. He is a member of the
Fidelio Trio with whom he has appeared at the Wigmore Hall,
Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre and Casa da Musica Porto, and
recorded Michael Nyman's complete piano trios for MN Records.
Darragh has led world-class groups including Ensemble Modern,
London Sinfonietta, Musik Fabrik, Birmingham Contemporary Music
Group and Remix Ensemble working with conductors such as Pierre
Boulez, Oliver Knussen and Heinz Holliger. He has recorded
over 25 CDs for labels including Mode, NMC, Black Box, Altarus,
Naxos, Nimbus and Delphian. He broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 3,
NPR, CBC, WNYC and WDR.
Darragh teaches violin and chamber music at RWCMD and
teaches regularly at the Royal College of Music, and
Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme. He has been invited to give
masterclasses at Stellenbosch Conservatorium, Hong Kong Academy of
Performing Arts and Birmingham Conservatoire.
