Deri Roberts

Deri began his career working on many high-profile television
projects as a sound designer and composer with Brollyman
Productions. Over a ten year period he worked on a wide variety of
programmes and projects including BBC Worldwide, Animal Planet,
National Geographic, Nokia and many more.
Deri's work ranges from small-scale ensemble, acousmatic,
electroacoustic, and sample-based studio work produced in his home
studio. His music is heard around the world on many stations and
performed by ensembles and soloists including the world-renowned
euphonium player David Childs. As a multi-instrumentalist, Deri
performs in many ensembles and appears as a session musician on
numerous albums. Deri has performed and toured all over the world,
from Brazil, Switzerland, and Glastonbury Festival to London clubs
and Brecon Jazz.
Deri's latest project, the D.E.R Collective sees him working
alongside eminent and prolific musicians and vocalists. Having
recently launched their debut album, the ensemble are busy
performing throughout the UK.
He teaches Music Technology and Composition at the Royal Welsh
College of Music and Drama, as well as leading active music
workshops for pupils of all ages throughout schools in South
Wales.
