Christopher Williams

Christopher Williams was born in Aberdare, South Wales and studied music at Cardiff University where he now teaches piano and coaches chamber music.

He is a staff accompanist at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and also accompanies the BBC Chorus of Wales and plays orchestral piano and celeste with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, with which he regularly broadcasts on BBC Radio and has recently toured the east coast of America.

As an accompanist and soloist, Christopher is in constant demand; performing across Europe including at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg and the Conservatoire de Musique in Avignon. His association with choirs regularly takes him to Birmingham to accompany the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus and to West Wales with the John S Davies Singers.

As a soloist he has performed many concertos and, in St David’s Hall Cardiff, played the rarely heard 4th Piano Concerto by Anton Rubenstein and 1st concerto by Karl Reinecke.
