Design projects are offered to set designers, costume designers
or a combination of both as a scenographer. Projects range from
classical text to opera, and are conducted both on and off campus.
The projects offer a wide range of design opportunities and develop
your applied skills and aesthetic language. With close guidance and
support you will work towards a final presentation with a
representative of the theatre industry in the UK.
You may be given the option to work as a costume constructor,
scenic artist, constructor, or props maker in one of over 15
productions staged each year, ranging from intimate contemporary
pieces to large-scale Shakespeare and Broadway musicals. Our
performances take place in the college’s own theatre spaces and in
major professional theatres.
