Stage Management

The Study Abroad Programme in Stage Management offers intensive production
and skills classes alongside the RWCMD stage management cohort. A range of
classes are on offer, focussing on the following areas:

• Technical Theatre
• Stage Management
• Lighting Design
• Sound Design

Further development is available through specific project work, designed to
enhance skills in each of these areas.

You may be given the option to work as a team member in one of over 20
productions and events each year, ranging from intimate contemporary pieces to large-scale Shakespeare, Broadway musicals, outdoor events, and exhibitions. Our performances take place in the college’s own theatre spaces and in major professional theatres.

Stage Management placements are also available running Venue 13 at the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival during August.

Joseph Lass from Virginia, USA completed this programme in Spring 2010. Read about his experience here.
