New York City Drama Auditions/Interviews
We will be holding auditions for entry onto our Acting &
Musical Theatre programmes and interviews for our Stage Management
and Theatre Design programmes on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5
February 2012.

Acting Audition details
Auditions will be held from 9am to 5pm.
Please prepare two contrasting speeches lasting no longer than
two minutes each. One piece should be Elizabethan or Jacobean and
the other modern/contemporary (20th/21st century). You should also
learn any one song, which you should be prepared to sing
unaccompanied. You do not need to imitate the original artist. The
song may be in any language but should last no longer than two
minutes.
You will be auditioned in small groups by a panel of two
experienced senior lecturers from the drama department. Be prepared
to present your two monologues and re-work all or part of them if
requested to do so. We will be happy to talk to you about the
college and our courses and answer any questions you may have.
A $100 application fee is charged to all applicants and is
payable by check to the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama
