International Students
Arriving in Cardiff
As a relatively small college, we can ensure that you will
receive a very warm and personal welcome. We can often make
arrangements for international students to be met upon arrival
at London airports, and certainly from Cardiff airport, rail or
coach station. From London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports, there
are frequent, direct coach services to Cardiff Central Station and
we will be pleased to advise you on all your travel arrangements
before you leave your home country.
Upon arrival, we will take you to your accommodation and, in
case you don't have enough room in your suitcase, we will be able
to provide you with a bedding pack free of charge.
Soon after your arrival, the International Student
Representative will make contact with you and provide you with any
help and advice you might need to help you adapt to life in
Cardiff. We will also arrange for another international student,
who has been at the College for at least a year, to become your
'buddy' for the whole of your first year.
In the week before term begins, the college and the Students'
Union organise a welcome reception and a tour of the college and
city for international students. There are also daily events for
all students, which will provide you with plenty of opportunities
to settle in and get to know other students, both from the UK and
overseas.
