The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama provides an
innovative one-to-one service to help you find suitable
accommodation while you are studying in Cardiff and you will
benefit from significantly lower living costs than in other major
UK cities.

A place in the college's halls of residence, Severn Point is
guaranteed for all international students. It costs just £92.50 per
week for the academic year 2010/11 including bills and has the
following benefits:
- Students have the option to live in halls of residence
throughout their course
- The Halls of Residence are at Severn Point – a fully managed,
safe and secure environment; including 24 hour security, electronic
entry and full site lighting
- Based just 10 minutes’ walk from the college, 15 minutes’ walk
from the city centre’s attractions and 5 minutes’ walk to the
sports centre.
- Private en-suite study bedrooms are housed in flats comprising
six bedrooms, a shared living room and fully fitted kitchen.
- Rent is £92.50 per week (2010/11) including electricity, water,
personal possessions insurance, communal television licence,
communal television, Sky Digital TV package and unlimited broadband
internet access.
- Contracts are for 42 weeks, from September until July – there
is no need to remove belongings during the Christmas and Easter
holidays.
- 52-week contracts are available for students who want to live
in Cardiff all year round.
- Halls have laundry and bicycle storage facilities and a 24-hour
concierge service.

- All International students are guaranteed a place in the halls
of residence.
Rooms are allocated by the college's Students' Union who operate
a Find a Friend Scheme. The aim of this scheme is to place you in
accommodation with other like-minded students.
