How to Apply
To apply for entry to the BMus programme,
you will need to use the Conservatoires UK Admissions Service,
CUKAS at http://www.cukas.ac.uk/. You will
find full guidance on using this service on the CUKAS website.
There is a one-off fee of £16 to register to use CUKAS.
The CUKAS Institution Code for the Royal Welsh
College of Music & Drama is R59 and the Course
Code for BMus (Hons) Jazz is 310F.
Application Dates
For entry in September 2012, you can submit applications through
CUKAS from mid July 2011. Auditions begin in
November 2011 so we recommend that you apply as early as possible.
The closing date for applications is 1 October
2011.
We are sometimes able to accept late applications
through CUKAS if places still exist. After 31st January 2012,
please contact the college directly for advice on late
applications

Audition Fees
The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama charges an audition
administration fee of £60 (one instrument) and £80 (two
instruments). The audition fee for late applications,
received after the 1st October 2011 is £65.
Audition Dates
Once we have received your application we will email you to
let you know the exact date and time of your audition. We will also
update your Track account on the CUKAS website with this
information.
The time on CUKAS Track will be the time of your
audition. You will have access to a practice room in which to warm
up for 30 minutes before your audition begins.
For applications received before 1 October 2011, auditions will
be held in mid November 2011 (weekdays only). For
applications received after the deadline of 1st October 2011,
auditions will be held in February/March 2012
if places still exist.
Please note that only applicants who apply by the deadline of
the 1st October 2011 and audition in November will be considered
for a scholarship.
