The College has:
- 589 students ( 2008/9)
- 385 studying music
- 204 studying drama (acting, stage management, theatre design
& arts management)
- Over 300 public performances each year
- Strong working partnerships with Welsh National Opera, Wales
Millennium Centre, BBC Wales, the BBC National Orchestra &
Chorus of Wales, & Brecon Jazz Festival, amongst others
- 1000 applications each year for 22 places on the BA
Acting course
- 400 resident & visiting artists amongst its teaching
staff
- On 4th March 2009 the College moved 131 pianos in 1 day!
62 Steinways were delivered, making the
College the 1st All-Steinway Conservatoire in the UK
Students provide 250 workshops in schools, reaching
approximately 10,000 children
- 99% of Junior Conservatoire students go into higher
education. Between 75% - 100% go on to study music
- Young Actors Studio for 15-19 yr olds launched in September
2008
